Dedicated to quality and compassion
I believe that the foundation of effective therapy lies in the strength of our therapeutic relationship. I strive to provide a warm, supportive, and empathic environment for us to work within. I place great value on having a collaborative relationship to facilitate change and help you learn skills to overcome challenges. When helping children and teens, I believe it's important to work with parents and schools to ensure that progress and skills are applied in all parts of a child’s life.
Extensive experience using evidence-based approaches
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University and my Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Baylor University. As part of my doctoral training, I attended a clinical internship at the St. Louis Psychology Internship Consortium, where I worked in inpatient and outpatient settings. I then completed a two-year postdoctoral residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital- White Plains, where I received specialized training in treating children and adolescents. Before starting my private practice, I spent almost two decades providing evidence-based therapies in both group practices and anxiety/OCD clinics. I have licenses in Connecticut and New York State, and I am a member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my children and family, taking my two dogs for walks, reading, making sourdough, and traveling.
